Alexandria Airport

Alexandria Municipal Airport has served the greater Alexandria and Douglas County area for almost 70 years. Originally a stop for World War II aircraft en route to Alaska and Russia, Alexandria Municipal Airport is now a bustling airport home to more than 50 airplanes. The airport is used by both locals and a wide variety of visitors – including vacationers, businessmen, doctors and medical staff, politicians, DNR, plus many more. Equipped with two runways, multiple approach systems, snowplow equipment, 100LL Aviation Gasoline, Jet Fuel and multiple mass storage hangars Alexandria Municipal Airport is able to handle a wide variety of air traffic in all weather conditions.

Five aviation businesses are currently based at the Alexandria Municipal Airport. Flight training, fuel sales, hangar rent, and other general servicing is handled by Alexandria Aviation.
