The Runestone Community Center (RCC) is Alexandria’s premier venue for dry-floor events and on-ice activities. It is home to many valued community groups, including:
- Alexandria Blizzard
- Alexandria Area Hockey Association
- Alexandria Figure Skating Club
- Vikingland Curling Club
The RCC was built in 1977 after community leaders recognized the need for such a facility in Alexandria, and set forth on a planning and fundraising path to make it a reality (news release).
Support the RCC Expansion
A capital campaign is underway to raise funds to expand the RCC to maximize the economic benefit to Alexandria and provide additional opportunities for on-ice activities and dry-floor events. Click here for more information on the RCC Expansion Project.
