Douglas County Fairgrounds creating a Master Plan for future work

Alexandria, MN, August 1, 2016– The Douglas County Fairgrounds is underway in developing a Master Plan that will create a vision for many years to come. The planning group is asking for public feedback. Please join the many voices of input at the Planning Commission meeting on Monday, August 15th at 7:20 at Alexandria City Hall, 704 Broadway.

The Master Planning process has been underway for many months with fairground stakeholders giving input on the development of the area to include listening sessions, site tours and planning & design sessions. The next step in the process will be to incorporate feedback from community members in multiple settings. We urge anyone with questions to get answers and give feedback at a booth at the Douglas County Fair, August 18th – 21st. Also in addition to that, there will be a table at the Community Night Out on Tuesday, August 2nd at City Park from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
